OUR STORY

Hi, I am Cyndi Loter, the owner of Learn with Ms. Loter. When I started tutoring during the summer of 2016 I had no idea my little side business would grow the way it did, warranting a need to create a team of tutors to serve my community.

My business started with a small group of students, and I hosted sessions in my dining room.  Business quickly grew, and I was working as a mobile tutor 7 days a week year-round.  Parents loved the convenience of a tutor coming to them, and  I realized I needed help when the wait-list started to grow.  I was fortunate enough to find amazing educators who are seasoned professionals.  We all have a passion for helping our students to grow, and we believe in always doing what's best for kids.

Most recently I have partnered with Wendy Howe, Owner of Howe Learning Services.  Wendy and her team provide tutoring services for secondary grade levels, while we support grades K-8.  In a chance meeting, Wendy and I found that our visions and values aligned and we began making plans to partner in an effort to support more students and families.  Our partnership allows us to offer K-12 academic support to our clients.

Cyndi Loter

Owner - Educational Consultant - Pre K-5 Tutor

My name is Cyndi Loter. I was a classroom teacher for 10 years and wrote Math Curriculum for 6 years.  I have taught 3rd and 4th grade, as well as Kindergarten.

During the pandemic I was offered a unique opportunity to serve as a Remote Learning Liaison/Private Teacher for a Learning POD.  (Imagine a 21st Century one-room schoolhouse.)  I served 7 amazing students and their families working across three grade levels.

I started tutoring about 7 years ago in the Summer with just a few kiddos.  That quickly grew to a year round tutoring service! Now, I provide private tutoring services, and work as a Regional Trainer for STEMscopes Math. I feel blessed to be a part of so many children's academic journeys.

Some of the families that I serve are looking to challenge their already high achieving student, and others are looking to fill in academic gaps for their struggling student.  I am passionate about tailoring instruction to meet the needs of individual  students, especially those who have difficulty learning in a large group setting.  I currently work with a range of learners, from Pre-K to 5th grade.

I am excited to work with you and your family to meet your child’s academic goals!
